About bankrupty.....?

My husband and I went bankrupt on 22 November 2010, and I looked on the insolvency service site, but I can't seem to find it listed on the website. As of 5th January 2010, the receivers still hadnt let our 5 creditors know, as they say they have 8 weeks. Right up to last week, the creditors were still hounding us with their hideous threatening letters, so I am wondering why as they surely should've let them know by now. (We moved out of our mortgaged home into private rent but had the mail redirected..and the mail comes to us at our new address.) So 2 questions... why arent we on the bankruptcy list because it has been 10 weeks now...and why do the receivers take so long to let the creditors know? because they let our employers, and the bank and our new landlord know within a week! Hi. I was involved in an at-fault car accident while driving a rental. Here is the rental situation: The rental car was not insured through the independent rental company. My insurance won't cover it either. I was never offered rental insurance and there was no contract signed regarding the car in question. The owner of the rental company has a rent-to-own business as well, and priced the car at $6,000, but is letting me pay just $4,550. According to Blue Book, the car is worth anywhere from $2,100 to $2,900. I'm willing to pay for the car. My question is, do I pay what he is asking or pay what the car is worth according to Kelly Blue Book? If I would have bought the car before the accident I would have never paid $6,000. Not sure if I got a good deal from Geico. I insured my new 2008 Mazda and and old Honda Civic. I live in SoCal. Liability Coverages for both: Bodily Injury = $500,000/$750,000. Property Damage = $50,000. Medical Payments = $25,000. Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury = $500,000/$500,000. Plus Collision and Comprehensive Coverage for the new car. Total Premium = $528.70 (6 months coverage) Is this expensive? Did I choose the right amount for the coverage?

I have been working part-time for a company and about to become full-time. One of the concerns that was raised is that insurance will be expensive.
